Suzanne Leonard

Suzanne is a warm, calm and compassionate psychologist who provides person-centred, trauma-informed and neuro-affirming support. With 16 years’ experience working across the community sector with adults and families, she brings a wealth of practical experience and a genuine commitment to helping people feel heard, understood and supported.

 

Suzanne has a strong interest in neurodiversity providing psychoeducation on ADHD and Autism helping clients develop greater self-understanding, self-acceptance, confidence and unmasking safely. She also is experienced in supporting adults presenting with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and stress and adjustment to life transitions.

 

Her therapeutic approach is tailored to each individual’s needs and goals and drawn from the following evidence based modalities: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) which is used to treat trauma and PTSD.

 

Suzanne completed her psychology training at Charles Sturt University and holds general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia through AHPRA and is a member of the Australia Association of Psychologists. Her priority is creating a safe, respectful and non-judgemental space where clients can feel genuinely understood and supported to make meaningful, sustainable changes.
